Author

Moore's works revolve around the past, especially military matters and Colorado history.  Other works treat historical issues such as water in the west.

The author's books:

Mister Moffat's Road, a historical novel.  Historical events are blended with some fictional characters to tell of the building of David Moffat's railroad from Denver to Salt Lake City.  Starting in 1902, financial and political barriers were overcome as were the mountains.  Moore's great grandparents had a hand in this railroad and make a cameo appearance.    www.mistermoffatsroad.com

Mister Moffat's Hill, a historical novel.  This continues the Moffat story.   The railroad was built over Colorado's 11,600' Rollins Pass in 1904.  Meant to be a temporary route while a tunnel was bored under the mountain, it ended up being the main line for almost a quarter century.  Historical rail events including a spectacular business scheme are interwoven with fictional characters to bring this tale of heroism, grit, and greed to life.
